Phytochemically rich foods and herbs can stop mutations!

Your DNA has natural proofreading abilities!

In today’s environments, these proofreading abilities can get overwelmed by toxins, pollution and even overeating.

That is when your DNA can start to mutate.

What can you do to help stop the mutations?

One way to stop mutations is to eat phytochemically rich foods and herbs.

The phytochemicals or plant chemicals in whole, organic plant-based foods have what is known as antioxidants or nucleophiles. These phytochemicals induce the unwanted electron-stealing molecules away from our DNA. Freeing our DNA to be copied for new proteins and other factors. They can restore our health!

They protect our DNA!

Eating fresh, whole plant foods and constantly giving our cells the phytochemicals they need to keep in healthy balance. Sometimes, we want to remove all of the molecular decorations off the histones and sometimes we don’t. Foods high in phytochemicals like organosulfur and polyphenols can help to manipulate the decorations for better health. Some of the phytochemicals from foods are called Histone deacetylase inhibitors or HDAIs because they stop the removal of acetyl group decorations. The molecular decorations act as little electromagnetic attractors or tiny magnets (sort of), which can change the way the DNA is wrapped around the histone and can change how our DNA is copied.

Why Not Just Take A Pill?

We are just learning about the phytochemicals that help our DNA. Labs are trying to synthesize them. One challenge is that too little of the chemical can cause problems with our DNA but too much can cause even worst problems! Not surprisingly, plant foods and herbs contain safe and efficacious amounts. No need for chemical synthesis and  prescriptions! These phytochemicals must be in the cells continuously to do their job. The easiest way to insure constant protection is to eat fresh plant foods daily!
